cloud use?
Hi,
How does Moneydance sync my transactions across multiple devices? Does it use a cloud service? I was under the impression that Moneydance does NOT save any data on the cloud?
Thank you
Joe

Moneydance does save you data locally, but if you want to sync, there has to be a way to pass information. Peer to peer communication was available a decade ago but it proved to be far too problematic so was retired. Shared services proved to be the way to go they were readily available and computers were generally set up to work with them.
What Moneydance does however has implement end to end encryption of the data that only you know the pass phrase to.
The functionality really is dictating the requirements here.
If you do not want data in the cloud in any form then do not use syncing, then all your data will be local.

Just to add to the above information, you can find detailed instructions for setting up syncing at: https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/syncing-and-sharing-data/sync...
To be clear, no personal financial data is sent in any way off of your computer unless you activate this function.
