Moneydance on Android No Longer Syncing Correctly

Hello,

My Android version of Moneydance stopped opening up on my cell phone. I uninstalled and reinstalled and went through the Dropbox sync setup as previously done. After the initial sync was complete the account balances did not match the desktop version (which are correct) and there were transactions missing from the mobile version. At the bottom it says "Last Sync: ?" I've attached screenshots for reference of both the Dropbox folder as well as from the mobile app.

My wife who uses an iPhone - her mobile version is syncing correctly with Dropbox and shows all correct balances and transactions.

    Attached screenshots. NOTE: When processing the transactions it got to 4366 out of 4851 and then that screen went away and the accounts and balances screen was displayed.

    When I close out Moneydance on the Android phone and restart the app the accounts are blank but the "Last Sync: ?" is still displayed at the bottom.

    Update: Now the accounts are showing up again but all the accounts are $0.00 balance. At the bottom it says - "Sync Error: length=4848; index=4848"

    Update2: Now the screen is blank again after attempting to sync. Bottom says "Last Sync: Mar 21, 2025 1:14:33PM". I am in MDT time zone.

    I use the Android app too, and the same issue has started to happen to me as well today. I fully reinstalled the app but once all the transactions synched it broke again. So I'm now unable to use the Android app at all.

    I've had a similar situation to the above with a Google Pixel 6a (Android 15).

    In my circumstances, it wouldn't open following the update and I tried deleting and reinstalling the app. After reinstallation, I got the Last Sync: ? issue but when I re-opened Moneydance on my desktop (Windows 11) I had two new accounts appearing with GUIDs as the account name.

    I'm having the same problem as MattH, where after the Android app stopped working for me, I checked the desktop app and there are two new accounts, with the long ID numbers appearing and zero balance (see attached image)

    @jdelval - I've seen that before on my desktop version also. Mine was attributed to securities not being added to an investment account.

    Any luck on the Android app issue?

    Today I see this when trying to enter a new transaction from Moneydance on my Android phone (see attached screenshot). Has anyone else experienced this? I can't delete the 8's or do anything. Only if I go to Details can I edit the transaction I want to enter.

    We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

    Unfortunately, there are still some issues in the current beta version of the Moneydance mobile app.
    So, in order to rectify the problem/s, you could revert to the public version instead.

    That being said, some users have reported successful results running the beta version upon restarting their mobile devices a couple of times.

    If you would prefer reverting to the public version at this time, you should proceed as follow:

    On your Android phone select and hold the Moneydance mobile app icon and uninstall the app.

    As you are a Beta Tester, you should "leave the program" (for now) by navigating to this page on your phone.
    Scroll down and click on "Beta Sign up**, then you can choose to leave the program.

    Finally, you can navigate to Play Store on your phone and re-install the public Moneydance mobile app.

    I was able to get my Android sync working again by uninstalling the beta version, opting out of beta, and installing the public version. Thank you!

    Also left the beta program and reinstalled public. Worked fine.
