Hi Joe,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.
In order for sync to work as expected, your data file should be stored in the default location.
Once you have located your data file, you should follow the steps outlined here to move your data file to the default location.
Alternatively, in order to relocate your data file using the Toolbox:
Navigate to Extensions->Manage Extensions and install the Toolbox.
Select the Update function (from within the Toolbox) and navigate to Menu: General Tools->Relocate this dataset back to the default 'internal' location.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

It might also have something to do with the Moneydance app not currently supporting the latest version of Android. I just got a new (used S23) and it will not allow me to install the current version because "it was made for an older version of android." I contacted support and they suggested I try the beta, so perhaps it is coming out soon.

@Joe
In addition to my reply on this thread, you should also refer to my reply on your private thread where I suggested upgrading Moneydance.
Lastly, if you are using Dropbox Folder you should ensure that the Dropbox client is installed and running on your computer.
We hope this helps! Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need additional clarification or assistance

This comment was split into a new private discussion: Samsung Phone and Windows laptop no longer syncing
I'm a new user so I could be doing something wrong but I've tried everything and nothing allows me to download a Moneydance app on my S23+, Android 15.
Please tell me to try a link that will work, wait for an update, or go back to Quicken. I've spent way too much time trying suggested links that don't work.
Thanks

In a difference discussion (link below) on March 17, an support employee, Maddy, said:
"Unfortunately this is what is being reported from other new users as well.
"You won't be able to install the existing Android mobile app until a new update is released.
"Please be assured that the new Android mobile app release is imminent.
"I flagged this thread and we will notify you as soon as the update is released.
"I'm sorry I couldn't offer more help today."
Obviously, "imminent" means different things to different people :) (though to be fair to Maddy, that may be what they are telling her - and even what they believed themselves, and then they ran into more bugs)
I'm just hoping they release it soon. For the time being, I'm using an old iOS device for mobile syncing (which is a bit of a pain, since I don't always want to carry it).

Thanks Maddy
I'm on vacation at moment and will consider this upon my return in 2 weeks.
