Syncing MacBook, iMac and iPhone

I think I've cleaned up most of my mess with where files have been stored and how they are synced between devices. I have moved my datafiles back into the MD default location and on my desktop iMac they appear to be functioning properly. However, I was not able to set up syncing with iCloud so I reverted to syncing through DropBox.

I was able to sync my iPhone with desktop iMac file and both files appear to be properly synchronized. However I have not been able to sync my MacBook with the desktop iMac file. It looks like MD is trying to sync with an old version stuck somewhere in DropBox. I can't find it and I'm wondering how to fix this.

Installed versions of MD are the same on both computers. 2024.4. OS is Sequoia 15.5 on both Macs. I would appreciate some guidance.

Actually, in my Dropbox online file is the .moneydancesync folder. In that folder were three sync files. The challenge was to determine which of them was current. I think I found the current sync file and deleted the old ones. Hope that was the right choice!!

Now I am wondering why I was unable to sync using iCloud.

toolbox can help you find those, though I don't remember quite how.

Maybe Stuart can jump in once out of bed (it is middle of the night in the U.K.)
