Transactions disappearing when syncing

I have this on-going problem where I have transactions that I know 100% certainty that I put into the app, and it says it synced, but then later I go into the laptop version and they have just disappeared and then have also disappeared from the app. This also causes some marital strife because my wife swears up and down she put transactions into the app but they disappear into the ether and so we lose track of them until I download them from the bank.

This has been a constant problem since we started using Moneydance across several years of upgrades and I can't seem to duplicate it on my own. It just happens from time to time.

Grab help/show console. Upload that here.

    My bet for a fix.

Use toolbox shrink dataset on both (1 days)

On master use toolbox / update mode / advanced / force refresh/push sync.

    BACKUP FIRST.

The above will refresh your sync data.

Did all that and now the android app won't find my dropbox sync files. The data is syncing between laptops but the Android app is not broken. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling multiple times and it refuses to find the files.
