Quote Loader not working
Starting May 5, quote loader has not downloaded prices from Yahoo. Is anyone else having this issue? I am using Mondydance 2024.4 (5233) and have upgraded to Quote loader v321605. I had the same issue with the previous version though.

The throttling is painfully slow, just for 9 quotes. The option is greyed out so we can't disable the throttling. Can you make the option available, or perhaps have less throttling for a modest number of quotes?

With only 9 quotes you can try setting the API calls per minute to the next higher setting.

The checkbox is there to indicated that throttling is always present with Yahoo.
The Yahoo connection has been significantly changed to be more browser like in speed of price retrieval.

Where is that setting? I don’t see any such option in Parameters.

But the yahoo setting is locked and for info. The AV rate can be adjusted.

@chonyid keep trying higher AV rates to find the quickest one that works for you. You might find that if you only do this up to 2 times per day, that the max will work.

How do we adjust the AV rate? I’m not seeing any setting for that in the Parameters.

Can confirm that the latest version works fine. But previously I'd not experienced the same level of issues others reported. That said, I really can't tell much of a difference in my retrievals between this latest version and Mike Bray's last one, which I think is a good thing.

Hi , can I ask how to install securityquoteload.mxt from QL32207 which I have downloaded.? I have tried updating through the Extensions window and also dragging and dropping into Moneydance (although I wasnt sure where to I should do that), neither methods seemed to work. Obviously I am missing something as everyone above seem to be doing it pretty easily. I presently have V320821 installed but as above it is no longer working. Any advice would be welcome

It would help if you described what happens when you try?
Anyway, ensure the file is called exactly securityquoteload.mxt and then double click it or drop it into the sidebar.

Thanks for your response. The file is correctly named.
1.If I try to drag and drop to the sidebar (presumably where "Summary, Reminders and Accounts are listed" nothing appears to happen
2. If I try to "add from file" within the extensions area then click on the download, nothing appears to happen.
3. If I double click on the file within my downloads area or I try to "Open with" Moneydance nothing appears to happen.
Can I ask what is supposed to happen? Should the Extension be updated to QL32207 in the Extensions area if it correctly installed/updated?
I did notice if I tried to delete the file in my downloads after doing all this Windows would not let me saying the file was open in Moneydance. I have Moneydance Version 2020.2.

You cannot use the later versions of Quote Loader which only supports Moneydance 2022 - 2024. Java versions changed.
Mike did create a a version that still worked for 2020-2021, but as QL continued to be fixed only the version from 2022-2024 was updated.
Mike recently stopped supporting QL, so the 2020-2021 version was not updated (nor will be). And, with recent issues, 2020-2021 does not work (at least for Yahoo and AV wasn't in it.)
So, you cannot access the latest versions of QL with 2020.2 at all.
