NEW EXTENSION - Context Menu Tools (Duplicate transactions)
I have published a new extension to my site called Context Menu Tools.
It's a very small extension that adds options to Moneydance's right-click popup context menu...
It currently works on selected transactions and shows three new 'Duplicate transactions' options with the ability to duplicate with the same date, new date, or adjust the date by a number of days, months, years.
This extension is not published by IK and you should treat this as a PREVIEW extension.

I’ve now supercharged this with
Copy splits
Paste splits
Apply template (from reminders) to splits
Rebalance splits.

This extension is a GAME CHANGER for me! Particularly the ability to create Split Templates and then quickly apply them. I am partial to the % Method where it takes the Balance of the new Transaction and applies the Split (from my Template) according to the % distribution of the Split Template. For me this is super-useful for how my partner and I are doing Savings Buckets.

So many thanks to Stuart for developing this extension and for all the improvements and tweaks he has already made! I suspect that as more folks realize how versatile and powerful this extension is that it will eventually make its way into MD core someday. 😊

Outstanding! Not tried it yet but I have accounts that book the same repeated 3–5 transactions each and every month. The date changes, maybe the price but everything else is the same. This is going to save me 10-20 minutes per account, per month.

The latest PREVIEW version can now Apply Templates to multiple transactions at a time. 😁 Stuart has done an amazing job, and if you have requests, tweaks, etc (or encounter any bugs), he is very responsive (though not every feature request is guaranteed to get implemented, of course).
