It is my understanding, that Quicken, with recent releases, has
discontinued the ability of the user to export their data to the
QIF file format. The QIF file format is the only format that can be
imported into Moneydance from Quicken.

The QDF file format is a proprietary format only readable by
Quicken.

Kevin is right that Moneydance (nor any other app that I know
of) can import QDF files. However, if you can open the QDF file in
a version of Quicken then it should be possible to use Quicken's
export function into a data file that Moneydance can read. I
believe that some people have had success in exporting to a QXF
file, renaming the file to have a .QIF extension and then importing
it into a new Moneydance file.

Thanks,

removed QIF support many years ago, all that is now left is a so
called export in Excel compatible format.

Basically a CSV file with an inconsistent column layout.

You do not have to wonder too hard why people want to migrate
away from the product with this sort of attitude, even though it is
probably the most complete product in the space.
