Hi jeffcarp

Perhaps start by updated to Quote Loader to build 3034, you are running 3027, update under EXTENSION – MANAGE EXTENSIONS. Don’t forget to restart Moneydance after you install.
As you can see from my screen shot your securities work for me.

If you still problems post your computer operating system.
In Quote Loader under HELP – set DEBUG ON/OFF to DETAILED.
Restart Moneydance, run Quote Loader on completion close Moneydance and post the Moneydance file errlog.txt
If you're using Mac OS, it should be located at one of these locations within your Home folder:
~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt or:

~/Library/Application Support/Moneydance/errlog.txt

If you have any trouble finding your Home Library folder you can open Finder and hold down the option key while selecting the Go menu and the Library folder option should occur or you can open Finder and select Go -> Go to Folder and copy and paste in the following:
~/Library This should pull up your local Library folder.

If you're using Windows, it should be located under your login directory at:
C:\Users(yourusername).moneydance\errlog.txt

or

C:\Documents and Settings(yourusername).moneydance\errlog.txt
Depending on your version of Windows

If you're using Linux it should be located in your home folder at:
~/.moneydance/errlog.txt

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491637032021-04-27T12:01:08Z2021-04-27T12:01:08ZQuote Loader not receiving any prices

I cannot update to the latest version through EXTENSION - MANAGE EXTENSION because of an error message. Hi effcarp

Are your banks set to download when you start Moneydance under preferences network (Automatically Download in Background), if so turn this feature off and see what happens.
If there are still issues post a copy of your Moneydance errlog.txt file it may help.

Hi jeffcarp

Another thought.

All your issue, Bank downloads, running Extension Manager and Quote Loader all involve connecting to the internet.
Have you any software that could block access to the internet, VPN or internet security software?
The error log suggest Moneydance cant even connect to Dropbox.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491637032021-04-27T13:40:28Z2021-04-27T13:40:28ZQuote Loader not receiving any prices

I don't have any issues with connecting to anything else on the Internet. Hi jeffcarp

I was not thinking in terms of something blocking your computers access to the internet just features within Moneydance needing internet access.

If you have no software that could be doing this then perhaps part of the Moneydance program itself is corrupted. Re-download and install 3066.

If that does not help with Moneydance closed try renaming the config.dict file to say config.dict_old and opening Moneydance. Note you will loose all your preference setting and your licence key. Make sure you have a copy of the key before you try this. If this does not help with Moneydance closed you can always revert back to the original config.dict file. The file is located in the same folder as errlog.txt.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491637032021-04-27T15:47:21Z2021-04-27T15:47:21ZQuote Loader not receiving any prices

I think it's very unlikely that the moneydance application or installation is corrupted. The error messages seem to be that when moneydance is trying to connect to any secure service that it cannot determine whether it is actually speaking to the intended party on the other side of the connection.

I would looks into network settings, including whether there is an http/https proxy configured on your computer. I would be very suspicious of any other software that was recently installed or updated, especially if it was network related.

Would you also be able to send a copy of your preferences file which should be called
config.dict
in your
C:\Users\Jeffrey.A.Carpenter\.moneydance
folder.

Thanks,
If I look at that NordVPN error message, it looks like this is related to Websense Endpoint, which is software that is part of our corporate security deployment. I am wondering if my company has upgraded something and Websense Endpoint has inserted itself in the middle of unknown or unapproved secure connections - kind of like a "man in the middle" situation? That might explain why widely used services like Dropbox and secure browsing still work but something more obscure like Moneydance doesn't work?

jeffcarptag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/491637032021-04-27T16:29:47Z2021-04-27T16:29:47ZQuote Loader not receiving any prices

I agree with Sean...It lookalike any connection that MD makes is being blocked by your computer; and/or you have an issue with access to your local security certificates.
