This is a clearer explaination with more detail to a previously sent question. - My husband has 2 credit cards with Citibank. I just opened a second one. I set up the account in MD, and successfully connected to Citibank with MD+. I downloaded one transaction. Two days later, it disappeared from MD+ accounts (as did one of my husband's cards to Citibank which had previously been connected, with downloaded txs, I went through the process again, connecting his account. ) I then tried to set up access with Moneydance+ again for my new card. When I used plaid to try to connect to Citibank, after putting in phone number and verification no. texted to me, It then comes up with a dialog box telling me that I have two accounts there, giving my husband's two cards. (see attachment). I have tried downloading trx from my already present account, going onine to Citibank, quitting MD and reopening, etc etc, all to no avail. I have done this around 5 times, all with the same results. How can i convince plaid that I want to connect a new card to MY account?

I have an account with Chase with multiple credit cards.
My spouse also has an account with Chase with multiple cards.

The key here was realizing they are totally different accounts.
In both cases, each account must give permission to third party access.
Also, each account has it's own username and password.

When I set things up, I had to create a "connection to Chase" for each separate account. (I actually had to do this four times, as we both have personal and business cards with their own accounts as well).

And yes, I thus ended up with Chase/Chase/Chase/Chase with each card connected into their own accounts...

Hope this is clear - ask if it is not.

Thanks for your reply. I started totally new and did get it connected. I hope that it doesn't disappear again. Although, I set up a chase account and the next day it had disappeared from the Account box (as you have above). So, I connected it again. Then, a few days later I had 2 connections; I disconnected one of them. The contact is still there - I would love to get rid of it, but can't see how.

I also cannot connect to my citibank credit card, using plaid with Moneydance+. I get to the point of inputting the verification code, but it won't accept it. It just refreshes the webpage and continues waiting for the verification code. No error message.

I assume you've granted third party access by logging in to the website directly? Or are you talking about exactly this, and Citibank won't finish accepting third party access?

Yes, that is correct. The Plaid web browser window comes up, has me log in, has me request a verification code from citi, I receive it on my phone, I type it into the Plaid web browser window, the code does nothing.

Looks like this problem couldn't be fixed, at least on my system. I was able to use OFX as you suggested, so I guess that's it for now.

When I say it worked with OFX, I mean I had to manually download the files and then import them. The online method resulted in:

There was an error communicating with your financial institution. The details of this error are below.

The error code reported by the server was: 0

Hmmm - we need to figure out how to make thing work "at least on my system".

I have Citibank (Citi Cards) i.e. my Costco card working with automatic download via OFX (direct connect)

So there may be a problem with Citibank and MD+/Plaid. Mine works with using automatic ofx direct connect.

As for Chase, that does require MD+ now (just as Schwab and USAA does for me) - but I have all my Chase cards (with 4 accounts) downloading with MD+....
