UK Bank support

Hi

I run the 2015 version of MD, and am thinking of upgrading to latest version. But I wanted to check if the online banking now supports UK banks?

   UK banks are not supported at the moment, I understand it is fairly high on the priority list. The priority in the 2023 release of Moneydance to date has been the rewrite of a substantial portion of the core code to facilitate future development.

   Thanks for the quick reply. That's a shame - I really like MD and have been using it for about 8 years, and don't really want to swap to another app. Is there any timescales on when it's likely to be introduced?

   TIK never talk about time frames so I do not see that anyone could say with any degree of confidence.

   Sigh .. I check in on the forums once a year to see if there's any support for UK banks ..

   once again .. nothing .. back to manually inputting transactions .. grrr

   Is MoneyDance ever going to support UK online banking?

   Currently, we are looking into alternatives, and we're trying to get UK bank connections available via a different service called SaltEdge. Once set up, this service will allow connections to UK banks.
   On the page linked below, you can see which banks are supported by SaltEdge - https://www.saltedge.com/products/account_information/coverage

   Please be assured that getting UK banks included in Moneydance is a very high priority for us. I can't provide an exact time scale for when this will be available, but I'd imagine it'll still be a few months. I have flagged this discussion so we can notify you directly when UK bank automatic downloads are available.

   In the meantime, you should update your accounts by manually downloading files from your bank's website.

   SaltEdge coverage is probably better accessed by:

   https://www.saltedge.com/products/account_information/coverage

   This takes you to the top level where you can investigate all countries/institutions supported.
