Long delay
Can someone please explain to me why it takes 40 seconds after executing the program for it to open on my computer screen?

a) grab help / console. Upload here.
b) run toolbox extension, click analyse dataset and objects, upload that output here too.

Hi Sturart, has there been any progress in solving the lag in opening the program?

Is this your data file name: mymoneydance_2022-08-15_2022-08-19_2022-09-24_2022-12-29_2023-11-11_2023-12-31_2024-02-08_2024-02-09 3_2024-02-15_2024-02-23_2024-02-24_2024-02-24_2024-03-06_2024-03-12 ?
If so, how do you normally open your data file?
You could try renaming your data file as described in this article.
Then if you wish to re-open the same every time you launch Moneydance, you should open the desired file and navigate to Window->Welcome to Moneydance
When starting->Re-Open Last File. Upon restart Moneydance should re-open the file you have chosen.
Please keep us posted on your progress, Thank you!

According to the log, it’s only taking 16 seconds for the app to launch, open the dataset and show the GUI (not 40 seconds)?
As Maddy says, also how are you opening your file?
Please use toolbox, general tools, to rename your dataset to a simple name.

Hi Maddy, from the beginning, always have opened the file by clicking on
icon on desktop.

Stuart, after renaming data file, opening time reduced to 15 seconds, MUCH better! Thanks

Please ensure you are clicking the app icon to launch, and NOT the dataset/file itself.

Am already doing that, icon leads directly to the .exe file.
