This comment was split from the discussion: Moneydance+/Plaid not allowing me to add any account.

I’m having that too! No more verification texts at all. That cookie idea
was really good, ugh.

   We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

   Would you be able to send us a copy of your Moneydance error logs? The logs should include information on what might be causing the issue.

   You could navigate to Help->Console Window and click the arrow (at the bottom left). Select Copy to Clipboard and attach or paste the full content in your next reply.

   Alternatively, you should navigate to:

   Local Disk(C:)>Users>Your Name>.moneydance>errlog.txt

   Finally you can copy the full content into your next reply here.

   Thank you for the additional information, Erin.

   You could install the latest update, restart Moneydance and recreate the connection.

   A new update was released on Jun 21st.

   Moneydance 2024.2 (5139) is available to download from this page.

   We recommend overwriting or manually removing the older version.

   Finally, navigate to Online->Set up Moneydance+ and where it reads "Connected" on the right, click and select disconnect in the popup. Then try to recreate the connection as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base.

   I just finished the update (super weird that when I went to the "check for
   updates" tab it never told me there was an update) but the problem still
   persists and I am getting the same error message.

   This might depend on your settings.
   From the Moneydance Preferences, in the General tab select ->Check for Updates->Preview updates - click OK and restart Moneydance. This is were the latest fixes and improvements are added.

   ---

   As for linking your accounts via Moneydance +, you should navigate to the bank's website to check that your accounts are individually enabled for third party access and they do not require a on-time authorization password, for instance.
   You should also ensure that your accounts are assigned as described in this article

   Finally, if you have a firewall, VPN, antivirus software or any other software that might be blocking Moneydance's access to the internet, you could try disabling it and see if you're able to connect then.

   I am getting the error on every single bank I try, and I’ve tried several.
   I am not even able to get to the point of entering my login credentials.
   As soon as I click a bank, I get the error. They were connecting last week
   but not anymore.

    I've attached a file called "convert_secondary_to_master.py" that might help resolve this problem for you.

    Before using the file, you can take a backup of your Moneydance data set, using the File --> Export Backup.

    To use the .py file, first save it to your computer and then follow these steps:

    1. In Moneydance, select Window --> Show Moneybot Console/Show Developer Console (MD2024)
       
    2. In the window that appears, select 'Open Script' then select the .py file
       
    3. Click the 'Run' button to run the script file. (you can find it next to Edit Script)
       
    4. Wait a few moments until you see a message on screen, confirming the script has run successfully.
       
    5. Close and restart Moneydance.

    Once completed, navigate back to File --> Syncing, and you should now be able to select the required sync method.

    Please let me know if you have any problems running the script, or if you continue to encounter issues .

    Still does not connect to LPL financial. I followed the instructions and there is no OFX connection.

    What's the next step or solution to this problem. I have tried various browsers and still the same results as seen below.
