Download from American Express
I was suddenly not able to download transactions from Am-Ex.
With similar situations in the past the solution was to disable online banking and then set it up again for the same bank/credit card.
Therefore I disabled the online banking for Am-Ex, and tried to set it up again, but Moneydance will not let me do that. Ittakes me into a loop. King me again which account I want to use and then freezes.

You do not disclose what method you are trying to use, i.e. whether it is Direct Connect or Moneydance+
For now I will assume Direct Connect, a little searching shows a long thread on this:

You are correct, I was using direct connect, and that is what stopped working.
However, since I was already using Moneydance Plus I decided to try to connect via that, and that is working.
So I will just stick with that and consider my issue resolved, at least for now.
