Where is the problem? How can I fix?
Hi All,
This problem started about a month ago. I was hoping it was a fluke and get fixed. When down loading investment accounts from Charles Schwab, one Ticker symbol (AGG) should be getting the matching my AGG security, but it getting something else that does not match. When I try to select the correct matching security, it is not a choice from the pull down menu. The security info hasn't changed and I can manually deal with this one security, it would be nice to fix. Is it PLAID?
The Barclays is incorrect. This is what PLAID is providing.
It should be: iShares Core US Aggregate. This is from Charles Schwab
Thanks, Kerry

yes, this is something that Toolbox can fix. It turns out that there is a public ID usually the CSUIP number for each security. AND there is a secondary ID that is not displayed and only Toolbox can manipulate it. This secondary ID is usually the SEDOL id. Sometimes plaid only has the SEDOL number and can't find it.
Look up the CSUIP and SEDOL for AGG and then use Toolbox to make sure they are correct. MAKE BACKUP BEFORE FIDDLING WITH YOUR DATA SET!
Toolbox +1
