MD+ doesn't download most recent transactions?

Previously, using either OFX direct or manual OFX/QFX downloads, the download would include every posted transaction and I could reconcile the account register in MD with the bank website.

Using MD+, however, the most recent posted transactions don't download. In general it seems like the MD+ data is delayed by approximately one day. But not exactly: sometimes I'll get all the transactions that posted yesterday; sometimes I'll get one of them but not the others; sometimes all of yesterday's transactions aren't downloaded.

Is it supposed to work this way or did I do something wrong?

    Hi Mike,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

For many institutions, the frequency of updates is dynamic and it can change depending on limitations placed by the financial institutions.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

All aggregators use a store and retrieve methodology.

In other words they periodically retrieve the transaction from the institutions which you later retrieve from them, they do not do on demand retrieval hence it is expected the transactions available will be some time behind.

Bummer. One more reason not to like aggregators, but I guess that's what we're stuck with.

I'm still a big fan of Moneydance and know this isn't your preference either.

Absolutely prefer OFX vs MD+ , but unfortunately banks have tended toward the opposite... indeed, a bummer.

To add to the delay information, over the last two years watching, and depending on the bank, delays can be anywhere from 1-7 days... normally 1-3, occasionally 4-5, and rarely (usually around holidays) 6-7. My "saddest" delay value was 10, once, for one bank during Christmas/new years.

When some bank gets past 5 days, posts are often started here saying MD+ is broken.
