Hi, the software is great; however, the ability to download from UK banks would greatly assist. Do you have a timeframe for this

   Hi Paul,
   Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

   We had hoped that UK bank connections would be available via Moneydance +, but unfortunately, we've encountered numerous problems getting this setup, and our lead developer has determined that Plaid is not going to competently allow UK bank downloads.

   Currently, we are looking into alternatives, and we're trying to get UK bank connections available via a different service.
   We're currently working to enable UK downloads through alternative aggregators that meet our privacy standards. SaltEdge is under consideration, along with another provider called GoCardless (formerly Nordigen).

   Although no further information is available at this time, this topic has been flagged for follow-up. You'll be notified as soon as there's an update regarding automatic downloads for UK banks.

   I have flagged this discussion so we can notify you directly when UK bank automatic downloads are available.

   In the meantime, you should update your accounts by manually downloading files from your bank's website.

   I've been checking this forum for an update to UK online banking since 2020, maybe earlier.

   Moneydance always says it's a priority but nothing ever happens. To answer Moneydance support - NO, repeating the same statement every year is not helpful. WHEN are we in the UK going to see some action?

   Hello,

   Unfortunately we're not able to provide a timeline for when UK banks will be supported. As Maddy explained, we've tried several different ways of doing this over the last few years, and unfortunately none of them have worked out. If we were to say when it was going to be working, it would just be a misleading guess. I know this isn't the answer UK users would like to hear, and we'd definitely like to be able to say that these connections will be available soon, but all we can offer is a summary of what we have tried and are working on like Maddy outlined above.
