Totally stuck trying to use MD+/Plaid
So since there is no other choice, I am trying out MD+/Plaid in a simple, single account test case. I have a CD at Numerica Credit Union. Plaid has Numerica on their list. The account was originally classified as a Bank account - which indeed it is. It has never had Direct Connect or any other form of transaction entry save manual typing.
I was able to get "connected" via Plaid and can now see the account as a connection in MD+ setup. I am trying desperately now to get this connection to map properly to the MD account.
At first, I could not do this because the only choices of MD accounts shown to me in the setup were Investment accounts and, of course, mine is a Bank account. I do not understand this restriction but after fighting with it and no success, I went ahead and used Toolbox to change the account type to Investment.
After restarting MD, I was able to now see the account on the list of possible choices shown to me in the MD+ setup. So this seems progress - confusing and frustrating - but progress. So I went ahead and tapped "Click to Select Account" and chose the newly re-classified account. Then I went ahead to try and download transactions for only this account. I chose to get all transactions since this is should be quite a small set. What I get is shown in the attachment.
Can anyone give me any insight on what to do/try next? Are all of my accounts going to be so painful to transition?
Thanks in advance for your help.

In desperation, I decided to call Numerica and see if they could help. It took some effort but I finally reached someone in online banking that had heard of Plaid and was willing to look into this. I didn't get very far as when they put me on hold to check with someone else about the CD account, I got disconnected. But they did inform me that for Plaid to work with them they had to activate some service on the account. They didn't say what or why. But when they tried to do it on the CD account, it would not work n their end. At this point, all I can do is hope they call me back since I was disconnected. And, if so, perhaps they can tell me the "fix", if any.

Well, I did get a call back and a hand-off to another person. However, they were able only to say they see in their logs a successful "connection" and no other errors. So they say "this must be a Plaid problem. And BTW - the thing that didn't work for the CD mentioned by the previous person had absolutely nothing to do with all of this."
At this point, I feel like this is exactly the sort of problem that makes me want to NEVER add additional middle men to the communication channel. It is so easy for each party to simply point their finger at the other parties and deny any sort of problem and deny any ability to help me resolve the problem.
Is this just dumb luck in choosing Numerica as my first test case? Or is this going to be indicative of the issues I will face trying to use Plaid/MD+?
Really, if this is the level at which Plaid/MD+ works, I might as well spend my time doing manual downloads or data entry versus chasing these kinds of problems. And I can save myself $40/year (at the current rate which is bound to increase over time) in the process.
