Interesting Problem. AI couldn't help me solve it. Here's the summary:

Bank of America via Moneydance+
Same 6 specific transactions reappear on every download
FITIDs are identical between the confirmed register transaction and the redownloaded one
All transactions are fully confirmed — no blue dots remain
Tried: merging, confirming, Reset Sync Date, Toolbox
Other BofA transactions download and merge fine — only these 6 are affected

I keep deleting each download, but it's annoying.

Thanks

Just reread your post saying the fitids are the same. If so, that is indeed odd. I still recommend deleting the original and keeping one new download and see if it repeats at that point - then id try to think it further.

"I keep deleting each download, but it's annoying."

    and, that is your problem.

Moneydance uses the fitid values of each transaction to determine if it is unique or a duplicate. Supposedly those never change, except when the occasionally do. Nothing MD can do about that - the bank does it.

Pick one of the six transactions that are confirmed. Right click, show raw details. look for something like fitid - fi_id, fitxnid. It will look like a bunch of random characters, but at least unique. Look at a current download. (since you keep deleting the others. I'' bet the fitid, doesn't match, but it probably has been the same in the other downloads, because at some point the bank changed it. The secret is not to keep deleting the new transaction - it's to delete the original one, keep the new one, and subsequent downloads will say it is a duplicate, eliminating the problem. do a new confirmation on the new one (or 6) you keep, and problem should be solved.

Hope some AI (actual intelligence) helps out. :)

I get this problem every so often. Workaround that I found: confirm the second transaction that was downloaded (so you would have duplicate). Then edit the duplicate, marking it cleared and set the amount to zero and save it. Try download again. It shouldn't come back.
