The site indicates not accepting new connections.

How to resolve

Walter Babbtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/479394642019-12-23T00:53:41Z2019-12-23T00:53:41ZConnecitivity

I'm a fellow user,

Bank of America dropped their support for new customers for their direct OFX connection service some time ago (https://www.bankofamerica.com/onlinebanking/online-financial-manage...) . Moneydance requires this service in order to talk directly to a bank.

However, if your account was activated for direct connect before they turned off support, you should still be able to connect in Moneydance. There is no knowing how long this will continue to work, but you can try connecting with these settings:

Institution ORG: HAN
Institution ID: 5959
OFX Server URL: https://eftx.bankofamerica.com/eftxweb/access.ofx

You can enter these by going the Online->"Setup Online Banking" menu item and then clicking on the Advanced Setting button. Again, this will only work if your account has already been activated for direct connections.

If you haven't enabled direct connect with Bank of America previously, the best way to get your transactions into Moneydance will be to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site. You can download into QFX, QIF, OFX or OFC files (sometimes referred to as Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance.

You can also open your bank's download page directly (after entering the appropriate address in the Account->Edit Account menu) by going to the menu bar and selecting Online->Open Account Website.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/479394642019-12-23T09:08:38Z2019-12-23T09:08:38ZConnecitivity

Hi Walter,

I can see you’ve received a reply from one of our knowledgeable Moneydance customers.

To add to this useful information I thought it's worth mentioning that Moneydance supports automatic downloads via Direct Connect, and you can view a list of financial institutions that support this feature here.

If your bank is listed, you can set this up within Moneydance by navigating to Online --> Set Up Online Banking. Then select 'New Connection' and choose your financial institution from the list.
Most banks require that you contact them to enable Direct Connect before you can download your data from within Moneydance. When you do this, you'll be given the login credentials you need to connect. Generally, these login details differ from those used for ATM or online banking. You can find the steps for setting this up outlined in this article.

If your bank does not support Direct Connect, you are still able to easily import your data into the program. The best way to get your files into Moneydance is to use a web browser to download them from your bank's web site.
You can download into QFX, OFX, OFC or QIF files (aka Quicken or MS Money files), any of which will import cleanly into Moneydance. You can find the steps for manually importing your data in this article.
You can also open your banks website directly from Moneydance by selecting Online --> Open Account Website, which makes the download process easier.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance.
