Importing qfx file, lists closed account

Hello,

When I import QFX files, for example from a retirement account, it lists all my investment accounts. Even the ones which are closed (the box for "inactive" and "hide in summary..." IS ticked). Is there a way to fully "deactivate" a closed account? Clearly, I do not want to delete it, but I don't want it showing up just anywhere.

Thanks

    Dear Customer,

    Sorry to hear about the problem you've encountered.

    If you go to File->Preferences->Summary Page->you can add/remove the available accounts and they will be shown in the Summary page, the way and in the order you want.

    Hopefully this information is useful. Let us know if we can be of further assistance.

    Hi L,

    It is my understanding that marking an account as 'Inactive' removes the account name from most lists but not all lists.

    For those lists where the account name is not removed, the best thing that you can do is relegate them to the bottom of those lists and out of the way.

    Since account nomenclature adheres to ASCII rules, you can append a 'z' to the beginning of the account name to hopefully send it to the bottom of the list.
    e.g. zChecking.

    You may or may not need to restart Moneydance in order for the changes to take effect.

    Hello Kevin;

    This is a good workaround. It does the job of pushing it down the list and the old account is not in the way.

    Thanks
