I get error 2000. So I figure maybe the server is down. I then log onto my Citi account and tell it export the most recent transactions in OFX format. When I import that file, a bunch of old transactions show up that I had previously deleted -- EVEN Though they do not appear in the OFX file.

I'm really, really trying hard to make Moneydance work for me. I switched from Quicken and started all my accounts new in Moneydance as I did not want to deal with import issues for literally decades of Quicken info.

Why am I getting error code 2000? Is it because Citi servers are down? Why do deleted transactions keep showing back up?

Gary Whisenhunttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/483569932020-05-23T22:00:16Z2020-05-23T22:00:16ZCan't download transaction from Citi

I'm a fellow user.

There is a problem with Citi, see:

If you delete a downloaded transaction it will reappear. This is because there is a unique ID in the downloaded transaction and if it doesn't exist in your data then the software concludes you do not have the transaction. If you are deleting the transaction because it was manually entered already then you should use the confirmation process in order to merge the transactions.

See

Not a good sign for Moneydance.

The second issue. I have confirmed all those transactions, and then deleted them after they were confirmed. I then downloaded an OFX file from Citi which I visually inspected that did not have these old transactions. The transaction reappear when I import that OFX file. If I cannot get rid of these old transactions without them showing up every time I have new transactions, then using Moneydance is worthless.

Gary Whisenhunttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/483569932020-05-23T22:55:31Z2020-05-23T22:55:31ZCan't download transaction from Citi

You have deleted the transactions from the current data so they will be redownloaded, there is no they were once here so they will be ignored, a transactions is either present or it is not.

dwg
