No options to remove online banking accounts once created

I recently upgraded to the latest version of Mondaydance and currently in the process of getting my accounts set up. I made a mistake in creating my initial online banking account. I've spent part of the day looking for the option to remove the account, and there isn't one. Read through some of the previous posts where folks have ran into the same issue.

I need to know how to remove the online banking account. I'm also including a screenshot since the common theme seems to be "Online->Set Up Online Banking, click the Disable button". There is no disable button nor any option in general to remove the online backing account. At this point, shouldn't this be a default menu option?

    Hello,

    The title of the window of the screenshot you sent is for setting up online bill payments. This is different than the option to setup online banking from the Online menu in the menu bar. Can you try to go to Online -> Setup Online Banking (not bill payment) and see if the disable button is there? If not, can you just continue with the setup process to enter the correct information for that account?

    Hi Ethan,

    I followed the menu as suggested and have the same issue. There isn't a way to disable or remove option. And yes, I could continue and set up another one, but that defends the purpose of not being able to remove what is there.

    My credit union requires separate accounts for each checking/savings combo. I currently have three different accounts. Would like to remove what I have created so that I can set this up correctly.

    Hello,

    I apologize, we somehow missed your previously reply.

    Maybe I'm not understanding the problem you are describing. Can you not just click on New Connection to create the correct connection for this account? The dropdown list is populated with banks that you have previously chosen to connect with, but are not necessarily the bank that the account you have open is selected to connect with. Since you don't see a disable button, that suggests that the account still isn't set up with a direct connection to a bank. You should be able to just click on New Connection and continue with the setup process with the correct bank. Or are you trying to do this, but are receiving an error message? If so, what is the error message you are receiving?

    And, don't forget the online setup function sets up a "direct connect" (OFX) connection to an account, not the account itself. You set up, and delete, accounts via Accounts in the Tools menu.

    You can delete names from the drop-down connection menu. Info on how to (for various MD versions) is available in the knowledge base. Unless the drop-down gets so big it is confusing, you don't have to. The drop-down is just a list of (MD) previously used, and remembered, New Connection lookups.

    Hi Ethan,

    I was able to get my online banking accounts set up. I still don't see an option to remove an online banking account once one is created. There isn't an option to disable. I went through the menus looking for any options for editing or removing online banking accounts once they are set up.

    If there is an option to remove existing online banking accounts once they are created, then please provide me that information. If this isn't a menu option, then I would like to add this as a feature request.

    Hi Kevin,

    I had cited the process that you've outlined in another recent post, where a couple of users had suggested that the Account Removal Process somehow be incorporated into Moneydance Itself (rather than having to run the python script). Just offering this tidbit as it seem to have come up again and may be worth IK's opinion/review of the possibility of it being a menu type, or extension option.
