Moneydance uses a protocol often referred to as Direct Connect, probably more correctly known as Open Financial Exchange.

I do not know of any Australian bank that provides the infrastructure that supports this protocol and not all even support the file format behind this protocol.

NAB certainly does not support the format. With NAB you can download transaction files in the CSV or QIF formats from the Internet Banking site. Moneydance can import both of these formats into Banking type accounts but of the two QIF is preferred format.

So with Australian banks you are limited to manually downloading and import transaction files. This is the case in most parts of the world as Direct Connect is really a U.S. based system and there is currently no protocol or system that is available around the world.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/486344292020-09-16T05:05:36Z2020-09-16T05:05:37ZNational Australia Bank - Not listed

Very helpful information, thank you kindly dig
