CSV to QIF
I am just one of many Canadians who use MD as we all know most Canadian Banks will not support Direct Connect. Some Banks and other financial institutions allow a download of Quicken files and some Give don't have quicken files. Some institutions have Comma Delaminated files or CSV files. Big Red Consulting has a QIF to CSV converter that is an add on to excel. I know they allow a download that allows 100 transactions so you can test it. You can also test to see how many files will be downloaded and it may give you a popup telling you what your errors are that prevent you from creating a QIF file. Their is also a manual that you can assess for help. I have used excel add on and the manual and it works. If your interested download it and test it out before deciding to buy. This Excel add on is available for windows and MAC. Current cost of this product is $59 USD. I have no conflict of Interest, as I have no financial or other interest in this company. This posting is for information only and is not a sales pitch. I asked permission to post this and Ben Spencer gave me permission to post this.

I would like to add to this post, in the spirit of educating new users, that there is also a free extension for Moneydance called "Text Import" which can import some, but not all, CSV files directly. You can install it by going to the menu bar and selecting Extensions->Manage Extensions.

To add to Ben's post, there is also a third party CSV importer that is a little more robust than the 'Text Import' extension.
You can d/l the version for MD 2015 here:

There is also a free Excel to QIF converter available:
http://xl2qif.chez-alice.fr/xl2qif_en.php
A version is also available for OpenOffice/LibreOffice
http://xl2qif.chez-alice.fr/calc2qif_en.php
I used the Excel version successfully when I migrated to MoneyDance importing 70+ accounts.
