Transactions not Downloading from Charles Schwab

Transactions from Charles Schwab not downloading at all. VPN is off when attempting to download. Please advise. Thanks!

   just a user - first - given the thread you are posting in, what was your resolution or non-resolution with Schwab?

   As for moneydance, sure, I'll take a stab at my opinion, but would be interested in the last six months for you with Schwab (I'm still living the lucky life - it still works for me)

   I kicked Schwab to curb.   Went with fidelity.  I left a small amount in Schwab and told my account rep I left due to their tech dept.  amazingly, I noticed that after I have left, Schwab now works with md.  Went thru a lot of ‘brain damage’ in switching accounts. I guess the only way to get schwabs attention is to leave!  I am about to drop my manual deal with empower, just hope that Md is solid as I love their product.  I am a retired accountant and Md is as close to traditional double entry bookkeeping as you can get.

   ok, my time. I have halved my involvement with Schwab (even with it working in Md+) and also moved the half to fidelity.

   Appears they "fixed" whatever was wrong with your Schwab that was not wrong with mine. Doesn't excuse the issue, and I've had other issues which caused my own "halving".

   As for Moneydance itself - well you saw the dwg post. Been around for about 25 years, based in the UK. A very small organization, with one primary developer (Sean). So, yeah, there is a "point of concern" in the smallness, but Sean has tried to stay truly viable - developing Md+ was not his desire, but he recognized what "had to be done" to stay in the game.

   There are more plans in the works (as a partial in the know person), but we will see. The good news is they never sunset the product, but in antithesis - Mac likes to break product as they upgrade. I'm still using 2022.6(4097), but I'm hearing Sonoma breaking things again. Sean does work hard on making it work with all current releases, but that's when you have to upgrade.

   A FWIW.

   I have Moneydance 2012 running on Windows 10 and Windows 11, I have also had this version running on relatively recent releases of Linux, I have not tried it on the latest, but both Windows and Linux seem to value backward compatibility and protecting your software investment.

   As long as MD works on one of them, I am good. Hopefully Mac does not mess up with Sonoma. I am running Ventura and hopefully that is what I am running for years to come…
