"no name" accounts in Moneydance+
After a few iterations I was able to get Moneydance+ set up and working with Charles Schwab. However, I now have some connections in my Moneydance+ setup screen called "no name" that I can't remove. If I right-click and select remove, I get an error "Received malformed response: Response{protocol=h2, code=400, message=, url=https://mdplus.infinitekind.com/plaid/item/remove}
Error: java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not parse error response".
I also get a few of the malformed response errors anytime I try and download transactions, I suspect it is these lingering connections that are leftover from failed attempts at setting up Moneydance+

I was able to remove some unused/extra MD+ links with the "disconnect" function of the MD+ link button - right click on link button to access. I think this function was added around build 4060.

I had the same issue, but never figured out what triggered the issue. It was a nightmare. Random popups every 20 seconds or so-- didn't matter what I was doing. I could not find the offending account or trigger so I ended up canceling the MD+ extension. This is obviously not the preferred option since there are several accounts that I cannot get downloads for. But it was too annoying to wait it out hoping a version update would solve the bug. I'll be watching the posts to see if the bug ever gets resolved.

I have this same problem as a result of trying to remove an institution. Trying to disconnect "no name" just produces error popups. And of course I get the random error popups the other posters get.

@All
Can you try upgrading to the latest preview version, as this should hopefully fix the problem for you?
Moneydance 2022.3 (4062) is now available to download from this page.
Finally, when you are returned Error code: INVALID_ACCESS_TOKEN, it means that Moneydance + is trying to refresh but Plaid is saying there is a problem. You should navigate to the Online>Setup Moneydance + menu again and look in the connections list. When you see "no name" listed, you should disconnect it.
I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

Hi Maddy,
I am running the latest preview, and attempting to disconnect "no name"
fails and generates error popups.
Thanks,
Lee Ann

When first adding accounts, I saw the same thing with Moneydance 2022.2 (4060). I quit Moneydance, re-opened it, and it is currently displaying the accounts where before it had "no name". So ???

Hi Maddy,
I upgraded to 2022.3 (4062). Still, in Moneydance+ setup, if I select
"no name", right-click, and select "Disconnect no name" I get an error:
"Received malformed response: Response{protocol=h2, code=400, message=,
url=https://mdplus.infinitekind.com/plaid/item/remove} Error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not parse error response"
Thanks
John

Hi Maddy,
I upgraded to 2022.3 (4063).
I still cannot remove the "no name" entries in Moneydance+. The
behavior is slightly different, though. Now when I select "Disconnect
no name" I get
"Received malformed response: Response{protocol=h2, code=400, message=,
url=https://mdplus.infinitekind.com/plaid/item/remove} Error:
java.lang.RuntimeException: Could not parse error response"
followed by
I'm sorry, Moneydance was unable to remove the [OK]
then shortly after
Error type: ITEM_ERROR
Error code: ITEM_NOT_FOUND
Request ID: k7cJjooMTKnKiQD
Message: The Item you requested cannot be found. This Item does not
exist, has been previously removed via /item/remove, or has had access
removed by the user.
Before the upgrade, the order was the malformed response, followed by
the item_not_found, followed by I'm sorry.
Thanks
John

It gets worse- I cancelled the Moneydance+ add on in hopes that it would clear the list of connected accounts. It didn't. And of course disconnect doesn't work because I'm no longer using the plugin. Could someone get the developers involved, please? And can they tell me what file(s) to edit to clear out the Moneydance+ account list? Given the current set of problems I suspect that setting up the Moneydance+ add on again may make things worse.
Also- I forgot to mention what platform I'm using- Mac OS Big Sur on an iMac. Apologies for leaving that out.

Can u send a screen shot of the online md+ window showing connections.
If you select md+ setup tab and then manage account. Have you clicked deactivate dataset in the website that pops up?

I think I may have things sorted out. I upgraded to 2022.3 (4063) and resubscribed to Moneydance+, then restarted Moneydance. I opened the Moneydance+ window and -finally- the old accounts cleared. Now all I have to do is persuade my credit union to not expire the Plaid token every other day, which I will of course take up with them.

I am having a similar problem. Cannot delete or de-link no name and frequent pop ups with error messages. See attached.
