Cannot download complete broker transactions
Hello, I am trying out the demo of Moneydance and I was able to successfully import my Quicken Essentials data. However, I am trying to make connections to two broker accounts, E-Trade and Fidelity and neither one of them is even close to correct. The dollar amounts are way off. Ironically each one is off by about $30k in funds. Additionally, it asked me to match equity names to some cryptic code saying which stock is associated with this number (B#2011703 for example). I have no idea what this means and could not locate this number anywhere in my E-Trade account online. Plus it's showing my account value at -$70k which is odd.
All I want to be able to do is download recent transactions from both brokers about once a month instead of entering the transaction manually. Is there another way to connect to brokerage accounts and just update transactions? When I imported the Quicken data I deleted these accounts and tried to re-estabish the connections by setting them up as new. Is this a limitation of the trial version?
Thanks,
Tom

My brokerage only allows a CSV file which I convert to QIF. I can import the QIF file and most things are correct. Some transactions need to be fine tuned because MD does not know how to deal with then. If you have Return of Capital, Call 0ptions or Puts, and warrants. You would have to go back and put them in manually.
