Duplicate credit card transactions from online download

Due to a fraudulent transaction my bank administered credit card account was closed and a new card provided.
I changed the account number in Moneydance and attempted to download without success. I download transaction from the bank website and loaded them into Moneydance to discover that serveral years of trans action were included. The credit card payment transactions are transfers from a checking account to the credit card account. Can I delete the credit card account? And reload the transactions from the bank file? What happens to the transfer transactions?
