Syncing is delayed...

We had gone through many problems trying to get Bank of America to sync properly (ticket Online Banking #24596). A lot of the problems disappeared with the new version, but it seems to be delayed, i.e. transactions that cleared the bank on Mar 24 will not download to MoneyDance for a couple of days later. Previously I could have MoneyDance connect in the morning and all cleared transactions from the previous day would be downloaded.

I do remember looking at the log a couple of time and could see those transactions still listed as 'processing' after a sync, yet they were no longer processing on the BA website. This actually started with the new version, however it is constantly connecting properly, it's just not getting the most current information.

    just a user - are you using OFX direct connect or MD+ ?

    OFX direct connect should be very fast, but MD+ can have a 2-7 day delay (4-7 is usually holiday weekends).

    I’m using MoneyDance+ which uses a third party connection, Plaid, to connect to my accounts. I can do OFX direct, and had been, before switching to MoneyDance+ and it worked with some banks but not all. This had been working great until mid-November last year and then was totally random. The latest version of MoneyDance+ was supposed to solve the original issues, and seems to have done so, but the delay is new with this version and ONLY happens with my Bank of America account. Other accounts are fine.

    Thanks for the reply, but I’m hoping to hear from Maddy again, who is one of the support staff.

    The delay is not new with this version. It is just some banks have it, some are quicker.

    Seems like your Bank of America account has deteriorated its service over the last few months. Glad it is still working.

    Hope you hear from Maddy soon.

    Thanks for the reply. Oddly enough I disabled that account and did a new setup. It synced IMMEDIATELY and was current… still hoping to hear from Maddy.

    When you do a new setup, Plaid will do an immediate syncing, so it is effectively an on demand update, in order to bring in whatever transactions are available and have an up-to-date base, after that it goes back to when it is scheduled to do updates.
