Expense Catagorie

I appear to have an expense catagory which is not showing on the sidebar, could you please explain why this is or could be and how I can correct it.

   By default no categories are added to the sidebar. It can be quite dangerous to directly interact with these registers.

   To add a category in older versions of Moneydance you can click on the plus sign at the bottom of the sidebar and select categories to appear.

   In recent versions you use the Moneydance Menu option Tools => Categories right click on the category and select to add it to the sidebar.
