bug: "Show Other Side" & "Open in New Window" stopped working since build 5132
Moneydance 2024.2 (5134)
OS: Linux 6.8.11-200.fc39.x86_64 amd64 (Fedora 39)
Java: 21.0.2 (Eclipse Adoptium)
The "Show Other Side" & "Open in New Window" features has stopped working on build 5134. I think it was the same on build 5132.
-
From inside an account, when I clicked "Show Other Side" on a transaction, the new window opens the Summary Page, instead of the Account/Category on the "other side" of that transaction.
-
From the Categories window when I click "Open in New Window" on a category, I got the Summary Page instead of the selected category in a new window.
-
From the Accounts windows when I click "Open in New Window" on an account, I got the Summary Page instead of the selected account in a new window.
There's no error messages in the Console.
The only workaround is to manually add the category/account to the Sidebar on the Summary Page, then open the category/account from there.
Anyone else seeing the same? Thanks!

I've just reverted to build 5130 and I can confirm these features worked fine there.
It looks like the "When opening accounts in new windows from a context/right-click menu, offset the window compared to the previous window" broke them.

Tried today's alpha build 5137 and "Show Other Side" gives a NullPointerException :(
Back to running build 5130...

The developer has noted this and commented that it will be fixed in the next Alpha:
"sorry about that. it's fixed for the next alpha"
