Cannot open Syncing
I have just done a restore from backup on one of my Windows 11 computers. It appears that the restore has been successful however, I cannot open Syncing (File/syncing).
When I click on Syncing, it does not open any additional window and just reverts back to my account register.
How to do I fix this??
I am still using Moneydance version 2024.1 (5118)

Hi nostink
It may help other users or support to help you if you post the Console log.
Close and reopen Moneydance. Open the Console Window under HELP – CONSOLE WINDOW then FILE – SYNCING when this fails to open go back to the open Console window and click SAVE to save a log and post that.

It looks like a network problem.. Can you access the dropbox site from that computer?

Okay, I just now decided to try something by turning off my VPN and tried the Syncing function.
It appears to have cleared the problem and I now have the Sync Method window open. Since it seems that the VPN was causing problems, it seems a bit odd to me because I have been using Moneydance and my VPN with no problem on my other Windows PC.
Would you be kind enough to remind me which option I should select Dropbox Folder or Dropbox Connection?. I can never remember which to use and reading the descriptions of the function of each option does not help.

I personally prefer dropbox folders (if you have the dropbox client installed locally), otherwise dropbox connection.

I do have the dropbox client installed locally so I have selected Dropbox Folder.
Regarding the VPN, I have turned it back on and I can now access the Syncing function just fine. Very odd that it threw that earlier problem at me but all is good now.
Thank you Stuart for your input.
