Quote and Exchange Rate extension issue

hi, I recently upgraded to the latest version of MD (2024.4 5253) and the updating exchange rates has stopped working. It has often been glitchy in the past. I have tried with yahoo, alphavantage, FT etc but to no avail. There is also an error message as shown in the attachment
Are you able to help?

   Hi Richard,
   We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

   Please note: Unfortunately, the third-party extension "Quote Loader" is being discontinued."
   For further information about this topic, you can refer to this public thread

   On the other hand, the Quotes and Exchange Rates Extension has been updated again, allowing users to utilize AlphaVantage and possibly Yahoo as sources.

   You can now install the update (version 1042) by navigating to Extensions -> Manage Extensions.

   I hope this information is helpful. Please let us know if you have further questions or need more assistance.

   I am not using quote loader - I've never heard of it!

   I am using the Quotes and exchange rates extension and it is this that gives the error message. Looking back at the history….all was going ok until the upgrade of MD last week

   As I already advised, I have tried my AlphaVantage key and also tried the yahoo source - neither work. I've checked and do have the version 1042 of the extension.

   Sorry we're not any further forward

   In order to determine what might be causing the problem, please can you send us your Moneydance error logs?

   They are saved on your computer as an errlog.txt file.

   You can get to your error logs as follow:

   1) navigate to Help->Console Window to show the console log in a window

   or

   2) in the Finder, press ⌘⇧G and then copy and paste ~/Library/Containers/com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX/Data/Library/Application Support into the field and press enter/return.

   At that point the finder will show an internal folder containing the errlog.txt file which includes the log.

   Finally you can paste the full content to your next reply.
   To add an attachment to this thread, please click on the "Browse" button.

   Alternatively:

   when you are in register view, navigate to Help/Moneydance->Console Window.

   At the bottom left of the window you should see a round symbol and a downwards arrow.

   Click the arrow and choose: File and Folders->Console log->Show file location.

   In the following window you should see a file called error log, you can open the file and copy the content in your next reply or add it as an attachment (whichever is easier)

   The error log is copied as below. When I click on the link to “this thread” nothing opens, in fact it says there is no programme associated with the link.

   I just checked once again and now some quotes can but all are extremely incorrect. To repair the error I have had to delete quotes beyond what was right in the last version. :-(

   The Quotes and Exchange Rates Extension has been updated recently.

   You can now install the update (version 1046) by navigating to Extensions -> Manage Extensions.

   Please update to Q&ER 1046 and try again. If and when you get the same error, then immediately grab a new console log file (without / before restarting MD) and upload.

   In fact. If this error message persists, please go to help/show console. Click bottom (…) and ensure the last logging option QER_D is ticked, then try again, then grab latest console and upload that here.
