Annuity redux
I set up an annuity as an investment account. It has one share. My plan was to take a monthly withdrawal as a split transaction between my money market account and federal withholding tax, and use the securities history to update the value of the annuity. I can do this in the bank register in the account, but can't do it as a Reminder as there is no split transaction feature that I can see. Am I missing something or is there an elegant work around?

I cannot see any elegant workaround. While as you said you can create it in the bank register, even if you save a reminder from this transaction it will not be recorded correctly in the future, reminders only use the Investment Register in this instance.
When the bank register feature was added, I do not think reminders were thought about.
I think the only way of doing it today would be through a series of reminders.

That's what I figured. Thanks for your time.

Perhaps the ability to do that could be added to the long list of other feature requests.
