Truncated Categories in "Transaction Filter" Report
MD 2024.4 (5253) – W11
Like many I have nested categories:
Main01:Sub01:Sub02 …
Main02:Sub01:Sub02 …
For some reason in Reports -> Transaction Filters only the last category item “(Sub02” in the examples above) is reported/displayed. Said another way, neither "Main01:" and "Main02:" nor "Sub01:" are reported/displayed.
AFAIK, all other reports display the fully nested category (like the examples above).
I believe I have toggled/de-toggled all combinations of options with no change of behavior.
Additionally, there seems to be no change of behavior regardless of search parameters I use.
What am I missing?

I have run such a report on a test data set, not seeing a problem

Thank you @dwg
Seeing that your report didn't show Account, I fiddled with "Show Full Account Paths" toggle: Enable and voilà I get "Main01:Sup01:Sub03 ..." Disable it and I only get the rightmost [sub] category.
Two questions:
1. What happens to your nested categories "Automotive:Fuel", "Bond Account:Govt Bond ...", and "Investment Account:Acme ..." when you deselect "Show Full Account Paths?"
2. Where is column "Account?" I find no means to suppress it.

If you have disabled show full account paths then you will only get the actual category the transaction is in, rather than the category structure.
Categories are just a specific type of account, so the category:sub category:sub... structure is the account path.
You cannot suppress columns, reports are really a query template, there is no report writer in Moneydance so you cannot choose what to show or not show.

@dwg
Thank you. (Curious why the toggle is not "Show Full Categories" or similar ...)
