Could you please let me know what version of Moneydance you are
running? If you're not running build 751, available [here]http://moneydance.com/other),
please update to it. This build does not permit matching of
transactions to cleared (reconciled) transactions, and also permits
manual setting of the date range for potential matches (available
in File->Preferences menu, in the Network tab). Moneydance
should also not match transactions to previously matched ones,
although it might suggest them as categorizing selections (which is
different from merging/matching), although it does rarely offer the
ability to revert to a different match. It would be useful for us
to know if the "Debit Card Withdrawal:" portion of the text string
in your example populates the description field- we have sometimes
seen these repeated text strings throw off matches. We are
continuing to refine the matching algorithms, as well as the
interface for this feature.

Do let me know what build you are running, it will help me to
narrow down potential issues.

matching due to unnatural delays around here - it just causes
problems. I've had transactions take 15 days to clear, and when it
finally does, it'll clear with the original date.

I'm sorry for the long delay in our response. We're continuing
to work on the matching process, and there are some significant
changes coming in the next preview build. You can have Moneydance
automatically notify you of updates by installing the "Moneydance
Updater" extension. Could you also let me know if Moneydance has
gotten "smarter" in terms of the matches it is suggesting?

Again, I apologize for the delay and I hope we will have some
good news for you soon,

matching. I
have the updater installed.

bkeyport
