<p>I have created a test account that shows the problem. With only
one transaction in the register the issue is not there. When I
enter another one then the issue appears.</p>

<p>Thank you for the detailed response. I believe I now understand
the issue.</p>
<p>The graph displayed restricts the x axis (date range) such that
months that are outside the range of the data in the data are not
shown. The average calculation is based on the date range of the
displayed data rather that the date range in the properties of the
graph. In the example even though you selected last year, the date
range displayed is for 4 months because of the data available. I
entered a transaciton in jan and one in dec and this then displayed
data for 12 months and the average was 100 rather than 250.</p>
<p>I think the correct behaviour would be to change the graph such
that it does not restrict the date range to fit th available data.
I have created a ticket for this issue in our issue tracking
system.</p>

that indicates that the developers are involved and it gives the
ticket number and the state. The state is currently open. When the
ticket is resolved the developers will make a post in this
discussion with will notify the watches.</p>
