<p>I'm sorry you're having problems using Moneydance. What
operating system are you using? Also, could you possibly copy the
error message you're receiving and paste it here? It may be helpful
in identifying your problem.</p>

<p>Moneydance stors all the account informaion and transaction data
in a single file. The ends with the extension ".md" without the
quotes. When you first ran Moneydance the program asked you for a
name for this file and for a place to put it (a path). If you do
not know where the file is you can use your computer search
function to search for all files ending with ".md"</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>

<p>Windows Vista.</p>
<p>When I go to file and recent files and click on my file, the
message reads<br>
like this:</p>
<p>Error:
java.io.FileNotFoundException:\FamilyComputer\Desktop\20092010.md(The<br>
network path was not found.)</p>

<p>Is the file actually still located in the desktop of
FamillyComputer? If you look in that place can you still see the
file?</p>
<p>Is the location \FamilyComputer\Desktop\ a place on your local
computer or is it located on a computer across a network?</p>
<p>It sounds like you might have inadvertently moved, renamed or
deleted the file "20092010.md". Use your computers search feature
to look for this file. Also look in the trash folder just in case
you accidentally deleted it. If your computers search function does
not find the file search for all files ending with .md.</p>
<p>Sincerely</p>

<p>Thank you for your help. I have now found the file! For some
reason my<br>
second computer Internet access was down. When it started working
again I<br>
could find the file. It is a complete mystery to me as to how the
file<br>
could be on the other computer when I have never used it on
that<br>
computer. I have now saved it to a folder on my main computer.</p>
<p>Thanks</p>
<p>Chris</p>
