when ever i change memorized reports not saving new updated changes.
any suggestions why
it wont save the account or the new date ranges. i have to manually change them.

also is it possible to exclude some accounts, ie give an option to select which accounts to report on in one report. at the moment i have to create three reports and then combine them to give the desired results.

thanks in advance.
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Please can you confirm following the steps below?:

From Income and Expenses, Detailed, click on Edit and select custom dates and flag the items you wish to include in your report, and click Generate (at the bottom, right).

Once your report is generated, you can select Memorize and click OK.

Repeat the process for the following year. Your memorized reports will be "saved" within Moneydance and they will be available under Memorized Reports

Please keep us posted on your progress, alternatively we'd be happy to troubleshoot further.

I just created another memorized report and even though I have selected the creditcard account it’s showing as a bank account icon

It should show the credit card icon

Then it will show the transactions.

Also once created the memorized report, it’s still not updating with the latest changes. Only way around the bug is to create another new memorized report.

Hope this helps.

To get changes to a reports parameters to 'stick', try this workaround...

For Memorized reports:
Open the Memorized report from the left side bar. Click 'Edit'.
Set the report's parameters the way you want them. Click OK (to close the parameters window)
Click Edit > OK (To open and close the parameters window without making any changes)
Click Memorize > Update

For non-memorized reports:
Set the report's parameters the way you want them. Click OK (to close the parameters window)
Then, click Edit > OK (To open and close the parameters window without making any changes)

Before setting the parameters for the report try hitting the "Reset" button. It has been noted in the past that the report subsystem sometimes remembers previous settings and can come up with some strange results if they are not cleared out.

If this is not the case, please let us know and we'll troubleshoot further.

I have created new mem reports using the month to date, that helps but there is still a major problem as when selecting the account that is not the savings account, ie credit card or liability, no transactions show because the account shows as if it’s a savings account, look at the icon on the screen shot . this is a liability account not a savings account this is the icon it should show . Because of this I have to change the account each time before generation of the report.

I have found a work around with the account problem by renaming the inactive accounts that the report was picking up

I think you need some new options for selecting more than one account and most importantly option deselect inactive accounts.

Great replacement from quickbooks, just need to sort out the reporting bugs.

Also is it possible to know what is the database system this uses?

thanks

rghstanley
