If I select the file out of the list (it's the only file), I received the attached error. If I relaunch Moneydance, then select "other file", and navigate to where this exact same file exists, it opens fine.
What do I need to do to get Moneydance to open this file anytime it laucnhes? Thanks!

Tom Roperstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/477985752019-11-05T14:41:33Z2019-11-05T14:41:33ZMoneydance Won't Automatically Open The Last File

Hi Tom,
Thank you for contacting Moneydance support.

Which version and build of Moneydance are you using?
Unfortunately, I was unable to locate your purchase. May I ask if you've purchased Moneydance via a third party website?

Did you try uninstalling and re-installing Moneydance?
Did you create a backup before updating your software?
Can you let me know which operating system you're running on your computer/s?

Thank you

I bought Moneydance via the Apple App Store. Anyway, I ended up resolving the issue on my own. I had to move my Moneydance data file from where I had it to <myuser>\Library\Containers\com.infinitekind.MoneydanceOSX\Data\Documents\ directory. I used to keep it in a subfolder in my Documents directory. If you know of a way to let it work with the data file store inside my Documents directory, I’d love to hear it, but otherwise I’m good. Thanks!

Since you obtained Moneydance from the Mac Apple Store, unfortunately, you cannot move your data file due to limitations imposed by Apple regarding the 'sandboxing' of Apps. The same is outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base.

Normally, your data file is stored on your system as a yourfilename.moneydance file. On a Mac system, the file will appear with the Moneydance icon displayed, as outlined in this article of the Knowledge Base

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.
