Theme Issue

I am using the latest preview version (1894) and have a customized theme setup.
I wanted to change the header BG to a different color and when this was done every color was reset to default.
I made a backup of the scheme and was able to revert back to my customized theme.
This may not be a serious problem, just want to bring it to the attention of the support folks for resolution in an upcoming release.
Other than this issue no other problems have surfaced.

    Hi cdr,

    On Nov 9, I conveyed this issue to Sean (Moneydance's developer) on his Slack channel. I've not received a reply from him but that is not necessarily cause for concern.

    I'll bump the matter and direct him to this thread.

    cdr,

    There is a work-around if you want to go through the effort. You can go back to build 1880 (that's the current non-beta version). Build 1880 does not have this bug, so you can re-do your custom settings, close MD and then re-open it. If everything is the way you want it, then re-install build 1894.

    Kind of a pain, but it works. Hopefully this will get fixed soon.

    If I were you, though, I would save the build 1880 download file in case the non-beta version gets updated to a later build that still has the bug - that way you still have a way to customize settings if you need to.

    Thanks for the suggestion Art, but I think I will just wait for the update, whenever that may be.
    It's really not that pressing of an issue for me.

    I did a little checking into this issue and found the following.
    Opening the custom_theme.properties file in notepad, I noticed that
    the correct file shows the settings as such..(only several lines are shown, not the entire file)
    .
    color.filterBarBtnBG=0xcccccc
    color.reportBlueFG=0x04a5d4
    color.registerGrid=0x000000
    color.accountIconTint=0x0076ff
    color.headerBG=0xfef9e2

    Now, a customized file shows like this...(again only several lines are shown)

    color.0xfutureTxn2BG=ffff93
    color.0xscrollThumb=663300
    color.0xregisterGrid=000000
    color.0xpositiveBalFG=006c3f
    color.0xheaderBG2=c7c7cc

    Notice how the 0x is now in front of the name and not after the = sign.

    I have also noticed on several customized themes the file only contains one line of text, with the updated value shown and the remaining lines are gone. This seems to occur when a color is tweaked a bit, like making it a little lighter or darker.

    So it appears that customizing the theme somehow scrambles the text or in some cases removes all other values from the color scheme.

    Perhaps this may give MD support staff some help on solving the problem.

    Hi cdr,

    I heard back from Sean (Moneydance's developer) on his Slack channel after posting a link to your troubleshooting results. This was his reply...

    Thanks! That'll make it totally easy to fix. I still wonder how it broke in the first place though.

    Hi cdr,

    The custom theme issue seems to be resolved with preview build 1896.
    The color pallet descriptions have been improved as well.

    Build 1896:
