I assume there's something off about the file format.

I'm not holding my breath for a resolution any time soon -- I opened a help desk ticket back on 12/21, and no one has responded to that one yet.

hanstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-01T23:05:40Z2020-03-01T23:05:42ZOFX files won't import

Thanks Hans! Keeping my fingers crossed that someone will be able to help us!

Jefftag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-02T00:47:26Z2020-03-02T00:47:26ZOFX files won't import

I'm a fellow user.

I suspect hat you will eventually need to provide a sample file that does not import. If it is a true OFX file I suspect that there is something wrong with it. Developers seem to be interpreting the specifications for these files in new and interesting ways.

If you are not getting the support that you require I can only suggest complaining to the principal of the company.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-02T01:01:33Z2020-03-02T01:01:33ZOFX files won't import

I went snooping on the Quicken forums, and there are people there with the same problem. Definitely seems like there’s something wrong with Apple’s (or Goldman Sachs’) file format.

hanstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-02T01:38:31Z2020-03-02T01:38:31ZOFX files won't import

The OFX generated by Apple/GS is badly formatted. If you need something to work now (while waiting for Apple/GS to get their act together), search for ac2ofx.

hleofxquotestag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-02T12:49:44Z2020-03-02T12:49:44ZOFX files won't import

Hi Jeff and Hans,

We are sorry to hear about the problem you have encountered.

As unfortunately, Apple Card does not support third party integration services, at this time, it's not possible to download transactions.
If they begin to support third party integration services, at any point, we'd be happy to make it happen.

Said that, it might be useful referring you to this discussion

I should also mention that hleofxquotes' program is not affiliated with Moneydance, so we can't be responsible for it, but it does seem to be the only way (currently) to pull transaction data out of Apple Card statements.

I hope this information is helpful. Please let me know if you have further questions or need any assistance.

This discussion is not about downloading transactions directly from Apple Card into Moneydance. It is not about a third party integration. This is about a downloaded OFX file, on the local file system, that we are trying to import into Moneydance.

hanstag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-02T16:54:21Z2020-03-02T16:54:21ZOFX files won't import

Just to be clear here. I have not ever seek or claim endorsement from IK. So I think such statement is unnecessary.

hleofxquotestag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-15T16:39:40Z2020-03-15T16:39:40ZOFX files won't import

I looked through the OFX file back in January and it was missing some matching section closures and not a true OFX file. I would like to say that I looked at my February OFX file just now and it imported just fine. It seems Apple has fixed the issues.

Maddy is sort of correct that they can't account for files exporting bad OFX files, but was a bit off in her description of the problem. Yes, the OFX files don't import but it is not IK responsibility to handle all possible badly formatted OFX files.

If not, use the Apple Feedback to give them an example of a corrupted OFX file. They are the only ones who can fix the file export problem. hle is correct that there are other solutions in the meantime that attempt to repair the corrupted file.

(Not IK Support)

sthtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/481287212020-03-15T22:43:57Z2020-03-15T22:43:58ZOFX files won't import

Thanks so much sth! You are absolutely right! I had given up on this issue but when I read your post I went re-downloaded the files that previously would not import into my financial software but this time they imported without any problem! I'm so thankful for your post! Apparently Apple had fixed the problem.
