Rather than knowing that this went to Discover, MD opened a "where does this go" menu. It correctly assumed discover, and I also said "remember this". Then I imported.

As with all code, knowing the path can help.

dtdtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/482775002020-04-24T07:52:40Z2020-04-24T07:52:40ZSidebar goes crazy crazy after a QFX import.

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi dantdavis

There is a know issue relating to Side Bar and Summary page refresh.

I first encountered the issue back in October 2019.

At the time I was testing out Moneydance Shared Folder syncing using different cloud servers, OneDrive, Google Drive, Box.com, pCloud and Dropbox.

On rare occasion the Side Bar or Summary page totals would go crazy. Closing and reopening Moneydance would sort things out. If the issue was on the Summary page navigating to a register and back again would also re-establish correct values.

I reported the issue to Sean on his Slack site along with video evidence and he did some checking and confirmed there was a bug and he would work on a fix but it was not straight forward and would take some time. Not seen a fix yet.

Your issue sounds the same. Side bar refreshing during a task when the data has only been partially updated.

It certainly can be distressing to see totals go crazy and think your data set has been corrupted.

Thankfully thing are fixable as you found.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23
