Hi Tim

I been running Moneydance since 2016 and am now using 2019.4(1904) and have never personally encountered your problem.

Some things to try:

In the welcome window do you see your account listed on the right? If so, double click on it.

If not search your computer for your Moneydance data set folder with the extension “.moneydance” if you find one or more from the welcome window set up a new account, say temp, to allow you into Moneydance. Then FILE (MONEYDANCE on Mac) – OPEN – OPEN OTHER to navigate to your data set and open it.

Lastly search your computer for your Moneydance backup with the name format yourdatasetname-yyyymmdd-tttt.moneydancearchive or yourdatasetname.yyyy-mm-dd.moneydancearchive

And use IMPORT NEW ACCOUNT SET from the Welcome Window.

If this fails post your computer operating system as this might help support to help you.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/483317552020-05-16T18:48:06Z2020-05-16T18:48:06ZAll data and backup lost...?!

To the above information, I'd also suggest looking in the default file location for your data files, especially if you're not sure where you have been saving your data (https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/kb/file-locations-and-changes/de...). Moneydance doesn't have the ability to delete your data files, so let's assume they are still on your computer somewhere.
