Hi agreger11

Strange, I am running Moneydance 2020(1913) on Windows 10, Linux Mint 19.3 and Linux Ubuntu 20.04 and the "edit" button respond on memorized or standard reports.

Are you a Mac user?

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484179202020-06-22T09:36:01Z2020-06-22T09:36:03ZUnable to edit memorized reports

Can confirm there are also no issues with "edit" on Mac either

What may be at play here is that the 'Edit' window is rendering off-screen.

Try this...
Open a report and click the 'Edit' button.
At this point, use key-combo ALT-SPACEBAR. (a small context menu may or may not appear at the edge of your monitor)
Tap the letter 'M' on your keyboard to invoke the 'Move' command.
Using your keyboard's ARROW keys, hold down the appropriate ARROW key (likely the LEFT ARROW key) to hopefully move the orphaned window back on-screen.

This phenomenon is sometimes caused by having a second monitor attached to your computer and subsequently removing it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm running Windows 10.

Memorized Report:
Nothing happens when I click "edit". Checked for hidden windows, no luck.

Tools -> Categories:
This used to bring the categories to a visible window. Now it's in a "hidden window" - I see it when I click on the Moneydance icon. Can't select it... have to right click on the categories window and then choose "maximize" in order to get to it. The "move" command didn't do anything that I could see.

I also tried minimizing ALL windows. Then click Moneydance, see the main window and the categories window. Cannot select the categories window unless I follow the same step above to maximize it. Very odd.

Tools -> Graphics and Reports:
Since I can't edit my memorized reports, I thought I could redo it, save as same name, and then overwrite the current memorized version. No luck. It went through all the steps, but after "overwrite," the memorized version was NOT updated with the new selection criteria. I end up creating new reports with different names.

Am I the only one with these issues?

Hi agreger11

I am running Moneydance 2020(1913) on Windows 10, Linux Mint 19.3 and Linux Ubuntu 20.04 and can’t reproduce any of the problems you are experiencing.

One thing you could try, reset the configuration file.

This will reset all the Presences you have set under FILE – PREFERENCES, reset window location and sizes etc. You will also need to re-enter your key, make sure you have a copy, HELP – ABOUT Moneydance.

The file config.dict is located at
C:\Users\users_name.moneydance\

With Moneydance closed rename the file to confif.dict_old so if recreating the file does not help you can always reinstate the old file.

Delete the config.dict file and start Moneydance.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484179202020-06-24T07:28:53Z2020-06-24T07:28:53ZUnable to edit memorized reports

derekkent23,
I followed your instructions... renamed the config file and restarted. IT WORKED!!!
Everything is back to normal.

Thank you so much!

agreger11tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484179202020-06-24T09:13:39Z2020-06-24T09:13:39ZUnable to edit memorized reports

I am not support staff, just a user.
