Hi tonyt

In the register have you tried right clicking on a transaction and selecting SORT BY – DATE/AMOUNT

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484279622020-06-26T16:54:38Z2020-06-26T16:54:38ZDebits & Credits

Thanks Derek
Tried it and it now seems to work for all dates in register! Tried before and no luck so will keep you posted.
Cheers...

tonyttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484279622020-07-07T07:51:10Z2020-07-07T07:51:10ZDebits & Credits

Came to use MD this morning, smaller amounts (debits) were before larger amounts? I did sort on date amount. If I right click on one transaction, is it applied to the whole account and does that setting stick when closing and re-opening? If there were credits on the same day, would they be placed above debits?

This is my take on your questions:

If I right click on one transaction, is it applied to the whole account and does that setting stick when closing and re-opening?

Yes it applies to the whole account. MD remembers the last sort order used.

If there were credits on the same day, would they be placed above debits?

Yes they are assuming you have set to use Date/Amount sorting

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484279622020-07-07T08:41:42Z2020-07-07T08:41:42ZDebits & Credits

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi tonyt

In a register if you have right clicking on a transaction and selected SORT BY – DATE/AMOUNT then on the same date:

Credit Cards
1. Payment will appear before Charge.
2. Payment transactions will appear in order Larger to Smaller.
3. Charge transactions will appear in order Smaller to Larger.

Bank Account
4. Deposit will appear before Payment.
5. Deposit transactions will appear in order Larger to Smaller.
6. Payment transactions will appear in order Smaller to Larger.

Sort order will be remembered.
Sort order can be set differently in each account register.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484279622020-07-07T11:39:41Z2020-07-07T11:39:41ZDebits & Credits

Many thanks derek & dwg
I am getting the expected behaviour you describe. I was hoping to get both credits and debits listed largest first / smallest last on any given day. I guess that is not how it works!
Cheers

tonyt
