Hi Tonyt

Another user Stuart Beesley has put together a python script to export a list of reminders to a CSV file. Full credit to Stuart.

Download attached file “extract_reminders_to_csv v3.py”

Click on WINDOW – SHOW MONEYBOT CONSOLE.
The new window has two sections. You may need to move the vertical partition to the right so you can see fully the window on the left.
In this window click OPEN SCRIPT and navigate to and OPEN the downloaded file and then click RUN.
A new window will open to allow you to select the location to which the CSV file will be saved. Click EXTRACT.
In the next window select the date format – OK.
The left window will list the reminders exported to the CSV file.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-06-29T09:53:57Z2020-06-29T09:53:57ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

Hi Derek
Thanks for the info, good news. I still think a mature program should have This sort of facility hard wired in.
Never used a script! Do I install this from within MD? Does it show up in the extensions list? How does it link to my MD file?
Sorry to be a pain but need more guidance if possible.
Look forward to hearing soon.
Cheers....

tonyttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-06-29T10:14:01Z2020-06-29T10:14:01ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

I am not support staff, just a user.
Hi tonyt

It is not a feature that shown up under EXTENSIONS – MANAGE EXTENSIONS.

Assuming you have downloaded the script you can take the next step.

To run the scripted open Moneydance in the normal way, so it opens your data set.
You then run the script from within Moneydances as I described in my earlier post, that is:

Click on WINDOW – SHOW MONEYBOT CONSOLE.
The new window has two sections. You may need to move the vertical partition to the right so you can see fully the window on the left. see screen shot.

Hope this helps.

derekkent23tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-08-30T18:32:06Z2020-08-30T18:32:06ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

Stuart B here - let me know if the script gives you any issues..?

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-11-06T09:49:55Z2020-11-06T09:49:55ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

Updated version of script... This is an external script. Are you aware whether there are any plans to actually add this as a report in the product? Have you added a suggestion that we can add our comments to.?

Rich Wtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-12-19T22:07:07Z2021-01-02T10:08:39ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

This is a script that I wrote. You run it from the Moneydance/Moneybot console window. It is also now an extension so it works off the Extension menu (if you install it).

What version of MD do I need to be using? If latest previews, is it OK to update? Currently on MD 2021 (2006) & latest Mojave / Mac.
You should upgrade to preview 2021.3030. It’s much better than .2006. Then download and install my extension.

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-12-20T17:25:22Z2020-12-20T17:25:22ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

Thanks - will do so at once!

tonyttag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-12-20T17:30:31Z2020-12-20T17:30:31ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

I actually updated this today. This was corrected in a later version of Java that is included in Build 2008. So for Mac users it is preferable to use a later build.

For other users Build 3030 fixes a number of issues.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402020-12-21T11:54:44Z2020-12-21T11:54:44ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

I would simply say that 3030 is more bug-fixed than any earlier build of version 2021

Stuart Beesley (Mr Toolbox)tag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/484297402021-02-15T22:56:32Z2021-02-15T22:56:32ZRepeat reminders / scheduled transactions

FYI - All my extract scripts have now been consolidated into a single script/extension called extract_data. The old individual scripts have been decommissioned.
