I updated my MAC to IOS 11.0.1; now Moneydance crashes

Good day,

Moneydance worked fine until I updated to IOS 11.0.1. I can enter transactions. The program. crashes when I try to add new accounts and on the reminder calendar.

How can this be corrected?

   Likewise I can longer view reminders since updating the MacOS - it locks up.

   I'm a fellow user.

   Without knowing the version and build of Moneydance you have installed people will only be making educated guesses as to the nature of the problem.

   With any problem where the software itself is not working correctly it is important to provide the exact operatings system and version you are using as well as the same type of information for Moneydance.

   MacOS 11.0.1 Big Sur with Money Dance 2021 (2006)
   Up until update from Catalina to Big Sur all was working perfectly. Clicking on the Tools Menu, the first two Items, and no problem, but selecting those below those two options and the App freezes and Force Quit is the only option.

   I'm a fellow user.

   When using Big Sur with Moneydance 2021, at this point in time, you should ensure:

   1. You should be using the preview Build 2008 as it corrects a MacOS issue that is in the version of Java that is included in Build 2006, the preview build can be obtained from:

   https://infinitekind.com/preview

   2. In the Mac System Preferences, General section, the option "Prefer tabs [always] when opening documents" should be changed from "always" to never or "in full screen".

   In the longer term a stable version should be released that resolves these issues, however at the moment I believe there are other significant issues around online banking that are taking priority and given there is a simple approach that can be taken to deal with the Mac issues it does not have the same priority.

   Interesting running MD 2021version (2006) and performed an Erase of Catalina and Clean install Big Sur 11.0.1 and thus far MD is working without issues but will monitor and if required download Preview MD 2010 ( 2008).
