This is not the same as the Schwab issue, there would be a lot of screaming if it was.

A few users have reported problems and an upgrade to Moneydance 2021 along with a reset seems to have corrected the problem for them, It is not clear to me however if the upgrade was the fix or the reset as there seems to be very few users with a problem with this institution, so it would seem to be a problem local to the users environment rather than something universal.

Resetting a connection should not result in the download of past transactions given the transaction IDs that are in OFX data.

I have seen it happen under two circumstances:

The bank has reset the transaction IDs. Nothing Moneydance can do about this, it just has to be dealt with by the user.

You deliberately select the "Reset Sync" button in the Online Banking Service screen. This results in the download of all transactions but under normal circumstances it should not cause duplicates. It is used when the server and Moneydance gets out of alignment and available transactions are not being downloaded.

Otherwise the Mac has been working splendidly for the 3 yr's that I've been using it. That has me thinking tho, I can check my linux box, not sure which version of MD I have installed there. But it would give me instant knowledge if it's the Mac or Fidelity.

Hoping to hear from IK on this.

jonhtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/488819182020-12-05T08:27:18Z2020-12-05T08:27:18ZFidelity Transaction download fails

I do not know what TiKs official position will be on Big Sur, all I can say is that from my observations there have been some niggling problems and some still seem to be present on MD2021 Build 2010 with this version.

If it was my call I would only be saying that a future version of Moneydance will be fully supported on this version of MacOS.

Unfortunately Apple's record of making changes to MacOS that break or severely impact Moneydance over the last few of years is not flash. Not problems I am seeing on my Windows and Linux systems.

dwgtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/488819182020-12-05T18:16:53Z2020-12-05T18:16:53ZFidelity Transaction download fails

@dwg: "Not problems I am seeing on my Windows and Linux systems."

I have the same issue on my Linux box. Running MD build 1928 on both machines. BTW, these are not VM's.

jonhtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/488819182020-12-05T18:24:36Z2020-12-05T18:24:36ZFidelity Transaction download fails

Now I see posts about this issue in "Online Banking". One user has done both the connection reset and the update.

@Sean: End of year fast approaching, hope you can sort this out for us.

jonhtag:infinitekind.tenderapp.com,2009-01-14:Comment/488819182020-12-07T15:40:34Z2020-12-07T15:40:35ZFidelity Transaction download fails

FYI - I chatted with Fidelity about this issue and posted the response in https://infinitekind.tenderapp.com/discussions/online-banking/17410...

Aaron Lindsay
